What exactly is that controlling? Is it a timing adjustment in the LCD driver circuit or something? What causes "ghosting"? If your trying support there then make sure its Sanyo commercial. I actually have documents stamped classified or secret. I'll tell them what ever I can think of to get the info I need. You really just need to play games with these sometimes jerks. If they cant find the procedure ask them for their commercial repair center and the manager in charge and if they would authorize the conversation for release of the information needed. You were told that there is a ghost adjustment but it was not available in the SM but another tech told you he got the adjustment procedure from someone there at Sanyo a few years ago but he couldn't remember what the procedure was. Your a repair shop but not an ASC and this one is a big deal and you really need some help. Then you just have to hope you get someone who wants to help you. Projectors fall under the commercial section of the company. Here is the number for Sanyo US commercial technical support. Im just trying Sanyo Support Australia.(where Im at) will see if they have that database for this.

Not sure about the service manual having a chassis has a File Number C-2448.and also states all the models it covers.did you mean chassis number or something else Hey, does that service manual have a chassis number for it?
It wouldn't be an issue of someone remembering. Ghosting is a common anomaly in LCD projection displays. Some Tech somewhere may remember doing this for a Sanyo PLC9000 once before I wouldnt mind betting. Thats all there is in this service manual.I guess Im screwed.my bet is Sanyo would not know much about this old dino.
Sorry guys I duplicated one of the pages.edited out. There is a "ghost" control, Mac? Seriously? Is there a page missing? There are 4 attachments, but only 3 pages - the first two are the same. They are just not revealing it in that manual if thats all the choices you have. There has to be a ghost adjustment section. I can show you the Sanyo RPTV service menu with over 200 data selections. Ive heard this mentioned after doing a google.if its this.the service manual is not helpful in telling me which data memory point needs to be adjusted.any ideas which needs changing and to what ? Help will be most appreciated. The convergence is spot on yet there is this second image about 10-15mm to the left of the normal picture.

Well the picture is now free from dust and IS brighter!.however I now have a ghost image.the type of thing you would normally see perhaps when using analogue tv reception.
